Linz, Austria

The exhibition PATTERNS AIGEN 2005 combines series of objects with videoloops. Based on extensive research about the identity of a small town in Austria, named Aigen, (by invitation of the Festival of Regions) artist Anne Lorenz has explored the special features of the town and its people.

On the one hand objects with local materials like wachs, gold sequences and wood were realised. On the other videoloops filmed in the town which are dealing with everyday movements in a choreographic way, like playing football, shopping or hunting.

In Kunstraum Goethestrasse for the first time both objects and videos are being combined into an installation.
